2015 Nissan Pathfinder vs. 2015 Ford Flex
The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder is one of the top competitors in its segment, so it should come as no surprise to Regina and Swift Current drivers that it offers far more than the 2015 Ford Flex. In fact, it offers greater efficiency, better standard features, more cargo space, more passenger space, and a more capable 4WD system. Keep reading to see how the 2015 Pathfinder so thoroughly outclasses the 2015 Ford Flex.
Stunning Efficiency and Off-Road Performance
Both the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder and the 2015 Ford Flex feature 3.5L V6 engines, and while the 2015 Flex offers slightly more power, it doesn’t make up for it in fuel efficiency. With the 2015 Ford Flex, Regina and Swift Current drivers will only earn up to 13.3 L/100 km in the city and 9.5 L/100 km on the highway with FWD. Efficiency drops to 13.7 L/100 km in the city and 10.1 L/100 km on the highway with AWD.
The 2015 Pathfinder will give you the power you need, but you won’t have to pay more at the pump. With FWD, the base Pathfinder delivers up to 8.6 L/100 km on the highway and 11.9 L/100 km in the city. The 4×4 models still get great fuel economy, with ratings of up to 8.9 L/100 km in the city and 12.1 L/100 km on the highway.
On all models except for the entry-level S V6, an All-Mode 4×4-I Intuitive 4WD system is standard on the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. Drivers will have the option to select between 2WD, 4WD, and Auto modes. Auto Mode detects slippery roads or rough terrain and automatically adjusts power to each wheel for maximum control. The 4×4 system is paired with an Xtronic CVT and Hill Descent Control, which provides an incredibly smooth ride every time.
Standard Luxury Features and More Room
Regina and Swift Current drivers will find that they have more room for their cargo and passengers in the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder than in the 2015 Ford Flex. The 2015 Pathfinder offers up to 4,468 L of passenger volume to the Flex’s 4,412 L. You’ll also find that, when the third-row seats are folded down, Pathfinder drivers will get up to 1,354 L of cargo space versus 1,223 L with the 2015 Ford Flex.
The 2015 Pathfinder also comes with more standard luxury features than the 2015 Flex. Swift Current drivers and their passengers will enjoy the following conveniences on the entry-level Pathfinder but will have to pay for an upgrade with the Flex:
- Power-adjustable heated outside mirrors
- Advanced drive-assist display
- Push-button ignition
- Tri-zone automatic temperature control
Additional features that are standard on the Nissan Pathfinder Platinum V6, but not on the Ford Flex Limited, include:
- Dual panorama moonroof
- Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System
- Roof rails without crossbars
- SiriusXM Traffic
- Power tilt-and-telescoping steering column
- Climate-controlled front seats (heated and cooled)
